If you love going to concerts, you’ll love the Songkick iPhone App. All you Gigkick users out there need to get on board. Songkick will “scan your music library and create a personalized calendar based on your bands and your location.” This is a much better alternative to digging through TicketMaster or StubHub for artists in your spare time. When I used to search for concerts, I would only search for my favorite bands, but, with Songkick, I’m in tuned to smaller gigs from lesser known artists I may one day gain an affinity for and really enjoy live. Whether it be Dispatch in Boston or Matt Wertz in Chicago, Songkick is a great way to be in the know, and is not only great for concert goers, but musicians as well. The only criticism I have is the concert selection is still limited, but this will definitely be expanded by Songkick in the future. Mobile purchasing upgrades would be a handy addition as well.
